Speak at LexThink.1

UPDATE:  Speaker Submissions for LexThink.1 are closed.  We’ll have the proposed talks up soon and voting begins February 13th.

LexThink.1 takes place March 28 at 7:00 pm in Chicago on the evening before ABA TECHSHOW.

If you’d like to speak at LexThink.1, you can submit a brief proposal, outlining the title of your speech and the themes you’d like to cover by completing the form below.  This year’s topic is “Serving the 21st Century Client” and your presentation must address client service is some way.

Proposal submission closes on February 10th.  Voting will begin on February 13th and conclude on the 24th.  Selected speakers will be notified on February 27th, and they’ll get approximately three weeks to submit their finished slide decks.

Here are the rest of the rules:

  • The topic of each presentation must relate in some way to serving clients better.

  • Each speech must be six minutes and be supported by a twenty-slide presentation.  The slide limit does not include a title slide, which we’ll provide.

  • The slides will advance automatically, every 18 seconds, once the presentation begins.

  • The slides may not contain animations or transitions, and must be in Powerpoint or Keynote format.

  • Though multiple speakers from the same organization or company may propose talks, only one speaker per organization will be allowed to present.

  • No sales pitches allowed!  If your presentation is about your or your company, you’re doing it wrong.

  • Speakers will be chosen through public voting on their presentation proposals, along with the input of the LexThink.1 committee.

  • All presentations will be recorded at the event and posted here and on YouTube.

  • Speakers are responsible for their own transportation and lodging to get to LexThink.1, which will run from approximately 7-10 pm on March 28th, 2012.
